Belinda Hale T/A Visible Arts is formally licensed to trade on
the Portobello Market and is also a member of the National
Market Traders Federation. You will also find me on the
Portobello Green market these days. Portobello Market consists
of a number of separate markets... so it can be confusing as they
also run on different days.

As a sole trader since 1991 Ms Hale has exclusively managed her own

affairs although her long term confidante and advisor is authorised to
speak on her behalf in respect of certain matters as clarified with relevant
lawyers.. As a long term friend and advocate of Human Rights Mark St John
( also manager to the Pretty Things at times) is well versed in respect of the
complex copyright issues that the artist has faced. He also managed the
Basement Recording Studio, London W1 where the artist undertook an
exhibition in 1988 after a chance meeting at The Patisserie Valerie's in
Soho London where the artist was looking at slides of her work. He was
looking for a photographer and met an artist instead.. At that juncture the
Artist was on the enterprise allowance scheme and trading as Belinda Hale
Commercial Artist....she ceased trading as such when she went to Ulster
Northern Ireland in order to undertake her Masters Degree in Fine Art.
She then set up Belinda Hale T/A Visible Arts with a wider remit again
on the Enterprise Allowance Scheme. The recession at the time was acute
And self-employment seemed the only viable path which appealed to her.
Animation was always there....preferable in her eyes to other forms of
art-working which she happily left to more suited candidate with relevant
connections..
